At its core, Fit by Beat is a group-fitness format, the most loved and most proven in the world. We simply make it better with music and a smart use of screens and sound. Nothing niche, nothing complicated. You walk in, the music starts, and the time flies by.

01Music first

Music here is not a background. It is the method. Every workout is composed together with a professional music producer. The beat of each track sets the pace, and the songs flow into one another without pauses. Every class is built like a DJ set: a warm-up, a few peaks, a release. You leave feeling like you shared something good with the people around you, not like you got through a routine.

02Guided by the screen

A large screen leads the class together with the coach. It shows the current move, the right technique, the timer and what comes next. Nobody gets lost and nobody feels awkward. And because the screen carries the instructions, the coach has more time to give each person real, personal attention.

03A live coach in the room

The screen handles the instructions. The coach handles the people. Our coaches don’t command from a podium. They move through the room, dance with the group, cheer for small wins and help everyone improve their technique. Support and energy first. Never pressure.

04Made for everybody

Here is a pain we see everywhere: too many people feel shy about their body, and never walk into a gym at all. It shouldn’t be that way. Fit by Beat is built for them as much as for the fit crowd. Every move has an easier option, and nobody is put on the spot. The music-filled room takes the spotlight off you. Zero shame, zero judgement. You just move.

Before designing Fit by Beat, we studied the full client experience of 12 leading music-driven studios in New York and London, from first ad to first class. We are building on what the best in the world already do right.

The team

Two founders. One long-term vision.

Kate Kholyavskaya

Co-founder · Portugal

Portugal has been my home for the past eight years. I chose this country with my heart: I built my life here, became a Portuguese citizen, and my daughter was born here and attends a Portuguese school.

My background combines executive leadership, entrepreneurship and fitness. I began my career in the international creative industry in 2003 and became CEO of one of the world’s leading stock content production companies, a top global supplier of photography and video for Shutterstock, Adobe Stock and iStock. Since 2016 I have been building and leading my own businesses, with over 20 years of experience launching companies and managing international teams.

Alongside business, I earned professional fitness certifications through FISAF Singapore and the American Council on Exercise (ACE), and worked as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor.

Over these eight years I have also developed and managed projects in Portugal, building strong relationships within both the Portuguese and international communities.

Portugal is where my family’s life is now. My wife, our two children and I have called it home for almost five years. We are here to stay.

Over 11 years I built one of the largest personal-device repair companies in Eastern Europe: a franchise network of 707 locations across 140 cities, run together with around 320 partners. We repair, restore and give a second life to the devices people use every day.

That journey taught me what it really takes to build a service business people trust. It also taught me how to grow one carefully, location by location, with partners who stay for years.

Now I am bringing that experience to the place where my children are growing up. Fit by Beat is a long-term commitment. We want to build something Portugal can be proud of, starting in Cascais.
